Fighting Hunger

In recent years, the cost of food and nutritional items has become more expensive for everyone. In developing countries, families are usually required to spend the majority of their income on food. Families all over the world are sometimes clueless as to where their next meal will come from. To be more economic, the cheaper food choices have a lesser nutritional value unfortunately. Even in today’s world, food scarcity is an ongoing issue, along with the cost of basic nutritional needs. Some choose to grow their own crops or raise their own livestock which helps fill this need.

What We Do:

In an effort with local supermarkets, we create and distribute food sets or care packages. This usually consists of enough food to feed a family of 4 for a week. These include vegetables, canned proteins, rice/oats, eggs, and any other necessary cooking aids. We work with local benevolent groups in the communities to identify which families would benefit the most from these food sets and care packages.

In some communities, they choose to raise their own sustainable produce and livestock. This could be something as simple as a few chickens or planting bed. These activities usually require a few pieces of equipment and necessary feeds or seeds. We try to identify locals who are working towards this goal and help empower them with the necessary tools to help  move towards self-sufficiency and hunger mitigation.
